Kenai National Wildlife Refuge Chief Biologist John Morton recently published this column in the Peninsula Clarion about the choices land managers will have to make when confronted by climate change:

“We are entering a brave new world whether we like it or not,” he wrote — a world that allows land stewards three choices, summarized in the acronym RAD: to resist, accept, or direct the changes that will appear in landscapes and ecosystems.

How else will the “resist, accept, or direct” choice appear in the Kenai Peninsula’s future? What to resist, what to accept, and what to direct — and how?
